Quality Engineer- Sassenheim

Voltea conquers the world with a revolutionary water treatment technology, recorded in more than 30 patents, which is more energy efficient and more effective than the normal purification. The technology, which was given the name CapDI, has been developed for the removal of salt and hardness from water. As a result, the water is softer, and can it also be reused again in, for example, industrial applications. CapDI uses no chemicals and produces hardly any waste water. CapDI can be applied in many ways. The world- wide market in which Voltea operates is increasing.

 

The Voltea team consists of 50 employees with 8 different nationalities. In our facilities in Sassenheim-NL and Dallas-US, we develop, build and sell CapDI technology.

 

We are looking for a full-time Quality Engineer who will be responsible for managing overall quality system at our Sassenheim, The Netherlands location.

 

Your tasks generally include but are not limited to:

  • The Quality Engineer is responsible for all quality metrics including customer quality, supplier quality and internal quality control and assurance activities.
  • To understand customer requirements and establish a quality control and assurance plan to ensure these are meet or exceeded through a mindset of Built-In Quality.
  • To develop, improving and maintaining a consistent methodology for compliance, problem resolution and provide leadership for continuous improvement based on prevention of failure modes.
  • To manage process to assure a “breakpoint” is established as product design changes need to be implemented working with the different areas across the organization (production, engineering, supply chain).
  • To manage the “Internal Audit Process management of the Corrective and Preventive Actions” system.
  • To provide statistical analysis, support and expertise for the different functions of the organization.
  • Oversee capability studies on manufacturing processes, completes equipment installation run-offs, gage R@R studies.
  • To ensure organization’s Quality Management System conforms with customer, internal, external and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Conduct periodic management review meetings.

 

Education and Profile
BS in Engineering or related discipline

Good communication skills
Hands on mindset
Fluent in English and Dutch

 

Experience
2-5 years of experiences in Quality area for a manufacturing setting

WAREHOUSE MANAGER - DALLAS, TX

We are looking for a full-time Manufacturing Manager who will be responsible for all production, scrap management and material handling at site. If you have a strong manufacturing background, and good spoken and written English skills, please continue reading.

Responsibilities include:

Production

  • Manage all production, ensuring Customer products are built to specification and are delivered on time
  • Develop, implement and maintain optimum processes to manufacture components, assemblies and systems
  • Review the forecast and MPS and plan capacity accordingly
  • Manage the production team leader(s) and/or production team member(s)
  • Recruit new team members in conjunction with HR

Materials & Logistics

  • Manage the material handler(s)
  • Work with Supply chain to review the ordering methods and amount of working capital
  • Assist with monthly stock count as required
  • Work with Logistics to manage shipment of production products and transfer of goods (non-production shipments remain with the Office Manager)

Quality

  • Under instruction from the QA manager, manage all quality at site, ensuring all actions possible are being taken to improve product and process quality
  • Ensure good records are kept for both product test results and procedures

Maintenance and Capital Equipment 

  • Maintain production equipment, maintenance plans and records (limited mechanical resources)
  • Justify and source new capital equipment

Reporting

  • Support the Manufacturing Director, including producing a monthly Operations report that covers productivity, scrap management and capacity planning
  • Ensure all finished goods are recorded in SAP by communicating when build orders are completed to Supply Chain.

Additional requirements:

  • Experience working in a Lean environment, preferably trained to a Green belt standard
  • Warehouse experience
  • Leader and managerial experience of at least 10 employees
  • Machine shop and/or electrical wiring experience
  • Flexible to changes
  • Knowledge of working closely with a design team
  • Able to work in a fast-moving environment

This position reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer.

 

Responsibilities:

In the role of Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and managing distribution, dealer, and rep partners in the industrial, residential and commercial markets.  There is a strong sales support function in this role as it would be expected that you would work closely with your channel partner’s and their end users to ensure that technology adoption and revenue goals are met.

 

To be successful in this role, you would be expected to do the following:

  • Strategic ability to identify and pursue key markets in your territory where Voltea can most leverage our technology.
  • Leverage prospecting skills to identify, qualify and close new business in conjunction with integrators.
  • Prospect for potential new clients, OEMs, resellers and agents to actively pursue qualified leads that result into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate within territory to develop, maintain and grow a robust pipeline of opportunities and increase visibility of sales funnel.
  • Coordination and planning of business meetings, trips, conference and presentations.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed to support trade show participation.
  • Keeping track of projects, opportunities and maintain constant communication with existing customers, accounts and new prospects.
  • CRM Management
  • Regular follow up of existing customers and accounts to ensure customer satisfaction of existing operations with support from project management team.
  • Close complex, medium and long sell cycle sales with individual and corporate accounts.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Voltea’s company and technology and the ability to effectively articulate this value to the market.

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor Intellectual and Professional Level

  • 5-7 years of product sales into a technical/educated market
  • Proven track record of identifying and signing with top tier Master distributors in HORECA and Residential markets.
  • Track record of retention and meaningful sales contribution from partner distributors in your assigned territory.
  • Demonstrated top tier sales performance (your results are within the top 10% of your peers)
  •   A formal understanding of and experience with Solution / Consultative Selling is required.
  •   A passion for breaking new products into established industries.
  • Interest in clean/sustainable technologies (water, energy, etc.).
