SENIOR APPLICATIONS ENGINEER - DALLAS, TX

The Senior Application Engineer is a member of the Commercial Technology team. This team is responsible for applying Voltea Technology for the customers’ demands.  The Senior Application Engineer validates a customer request for the sales team and when a purchase order is signed, he becomes the customer’s contact until the system has been installed and the users have received proper training.

Main tasks include:

  • Validate customer requirements provided by the sales team for system sizing or if necessary advice an alternative system design.
  • Modelling CapDi performance
  • Lead installation projects selected by manager
  • Finalise system designs including:
    • BOM, P&ID
    • Site schematic, electrical diagrams and CapDI settings output
  • Produce, maintain, and update system documentation going to the Customer; system manual, electrical diagrams, training documentation etc.
  • Coordinate shipment:
    • Initiate shipment of system with the service team
    • Pack all necessary documents including; manual, electrical diagrams, training documentation
    • Inform customer on arrival date and liaise with customer and the service team to solve any shipment issues
  • Installation of systems at customer site:
    • Instruct the customer on the necessary pre-installation work and check if this work has been properly executed in order to successfully install the Voltea system.
    • Coordinate the visit with client
    • Provide training to customer on operation and maintenance of CapDi system
    • Write a commissioning report from installation
  • Hand over successfully installed systems to the service team
    • Ensure that all documentation is filled in and signed
    • Hand over customer contact to the service team
  • Training
    • Lead company-wide effort to ensure cross-functional understanding of approach to system design and application of Voltea Technology to real-world applications

Additional tasks include:

– Programming Voltea Units and PLC’s

– Trouble shooting

– Electrical design


Education:

BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering

CONTROLS ENGINEER - DALLAS, TX

About the role

The Controls Engineer is a key member of the Technology team. The Technology team works both on developing next generation product but also in supporting current commercial activities. In this role, the Controls Engineer will would daily with a small technical team to develop the interfaces, programs, and processes that will allow Voltea’s products to exceed customer expectations regarding performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates electrical systems, components, and applications by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical circuits and software tied to circuits.
  • Design and program HMI.
  • Design and develop PCV code while working with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
  • Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
  • Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting feedback from operators.
  • Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; finished products and system capabilities.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
  • Responsible for electrical codes and regulations, both domestic and international; National Electric Code (NEC) and Underwriter Laboratories (UL).
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, teammates and contractors.

Desired Abilities:

  • Ability to problem solve complex engineering challenges
  • Knowledge of embedded WiFi and IoT
  • Extensive Printed Circuit Board (PCB) experience is a must
  • Aptitude for Programming (C, C#, VBA, SQL, Ladder Logic, or other languages) and debugging both firmware and software
  • Knowledge of PLCs (e.g. ControlLogix, Modicon, Siemens S7) is an asset
  • Knowledge of HMIs (e.g. FactoryTalkView, Wonderware, iFix) is an asset
  • Familiarity with IT/Networking and database applications is an asset

Supply Chain Lead Responsibilities:

  • Take an active role in Purchasing & Supply strategy creation, development and implementation, participates on teams as Supply Chain expert.
  • Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products.
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.

WAREHOUSE MANAGER - DALLAS, TX

Voltea conquers the world with a revolutionary water treatment technology, recorded in more than 30 patents, which is more energy efficient and more effective than the normal purification. The technology, which was given the name CapDI, has been developed for the removal of salt and hardness from water. As a result, the water is softer, and can it also be reused again in, for example, industrial applications. CapDI uses no chemicals and produces hardly any waste water. CapDI can be applied in many ways. The world-wide market in which Voltea operates is increasing.

The Voltea team consists of 25 employees with 8 different nationalities. In our facilities in Sassenheim-NL and Dallas-US, we develop, build and sell the CapDI technology.

We are looking for a full-time Manufacturing Manager who will be responsible for all production, scrap management and material handling at site. If you have a strong manufacturing background, and good spoken and written English skills, please continue reading.

Responsibilities include:

Production

  • Manage all production, ensuring Customer products are built to specification and are delivered on time
  • Develop, implement and maintain optimum processes to manufacture components, assemblies and systems
  • Review the forecast and MPS and plan capacity accordingly
  • Manage the production team leader(s) and/or production team member(s)
  • Recruit new team members in conjunction with HR

Materials & Logistics

  • Manage the material handler(s)
  • Work with Supply chain to review the ordering methods and amount of working capital
  • Assist with monthly stock count as required
  • Work with Logistics to manage shipment of production products and transfer of goods (non-production shipments remain with the Office Manager)

Quality

  • Under instruction from the QA manager, manage all quality at site, ensuring all actions possible are being taken to improve product and process quality
  • Ensure good records are kept for both product test results and procedures

Maintenance and Capital Equipment 

  • Maintain production equipment, maintenance plans and records (limited mechanical resources)
  • Justify and source new capital equipment

Reporting

  • Support the Manufacturing Director, including producing a monthly Operations report that covers productivity, scrap management and capacity planning
  • Ensure all finished goods are recorded in SAP by communicating when build orders are completed to Supply Chain.

Additional requirements:

  • Experience working in a Lean environment, preferably trained to a Green belt standard
  • Warehouse experience
  • Leader and managerial experience of at least 10 employees
  • Machine shop and/or electrical wiring experience
  • Flexible to changes
  • Knowledge of working closely with a design team
  • Able to work in a fast-moving environment

The operator of the automated stacking machine (“Robot”) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the machine in addition to any further support the Team Leader may require.

Responsibilities

Production:

  • Must be able to perform detailed tasks daily
  • Perform tasks in a Manufacturing environment
  • Detail oriented is a key function

Quality:

  • Ensure all tracking documents are completed correctly.
  • Ensure that the stacks produced are correctly labelled.
  • Raise to the Team Leader any suspect materials.

Maintenance and Capital Equipment:

  • Maintain production equipment, maintenance plans, and records (limited mechanical resources).

Place within the Organization:

  • The Robot Operator reports to the Team Leader.

Desired Skills

  • Ability to work within a team and alone
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read drawings, perform tasks efficiently, and think independently
