Pentair and Rabobank make an early investment into Voltea (seeking a non-salt softener). Voltea wins the best new technology award at the Global Water Summit 

2011

Global Cleantech 100

Voltea wins the best new technology award at the Global Water Summit and is listed in the Global Cleantech 100.

2013

World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum recognizes Voltea as one the 21 Technology Pioneers.

2018

Global Water Summit in Paris

Breakthrough Water Technology Company of the Year: Global Water Summit in Paris. Voltea launches its first 2 mass market products. 

2021

Voltea gears up for Commercial Success

Voltea concludes 10 years of R&D, patent protections (98 patents) and pivots the company from a lab and development culture to a new focus on commercial success. 

2023

New CTO and CEO

Voltea hires new CTO and CEO, redesigns new product components, increasing system performed by 180%. Streamlines manufacturing capacity to rapidly scale production. 

2024

Voltea Water Inc. introduces "Voltea Inside"

Voltea rebrands as Voltea Water Inc. and launches “Voltea Inside”, a licensing model integrating its technology into partner-built machines. This approach accelerates market adoption, expands sales and service reach, and drives down costs through co-development with industry leaders.

2018 Global Cleantech 100

A record 12,300 companies from 61 countries were nominated. After scoring, 312 were shortlisted, and CTG’s Expert Panel selected the final 100 from 18 countries.

2013 Blue Truffle Award

Voltea and Crystal IS won top awards at the 4th BlueTech® Forum, showcasing innovations from 11 companies in key water industry sectors.

The Volkskrant

The Volkskrant, a respected Dutch newspaper, featured Voltea in a series on the future of the Dutch economy. The article ranked Voltea as the top promising tech venture, according to Stichting Nederland Kennisland, a leading Dutch innovation think tank.

2011 Global Cleantech 100

Voltea was named in the prestigious 2011 Global Cleantech 100 by the Cleantech Group, in collaboration with the UK’s Guardian News and Media. Selected from 4,274 nominees across 45+ countries, the list highlights companies poised for major market impact in the next 5–10 years.

2010 Global Water Summit

Voltea won the Water Technology Idol competition at the 2010 Global Water Summit in Paris. The award recognized its breakthrough desalting technology, which offers low energy use, high water recovery, low fouling, chemical-free operation, and lower total costs than existing solutions.

CNBC Business

CNBC Business ranked Voltea the 3rd most creative company in Europe, recognizing its potential for disruptive innovation in its annual rankings for business leaders and entrepreneurs.

The Artemis Project 2011

2018 Breakthrough Water Technology
