For instance, in the Tanzanian project, the hybrid system operated at low pressure, resulting in reduced capital expenditures (CAPEX) and efficient operational costs (OPEX). Voltea's CapDI Technology: A Key Component
Central to this hybrid system is Voltea's CapDI technology, a tunable and scalable water deionization solution designed to remove dissolved salts from various water sources, including tap water, brackish groundwater, and industrial process water. CapDI operates efficiently across a wide temperature range (5-60°C or 40-140°F) and handles challenging feed waters with higher turbidity, all while minimizing environmental impact through low energy consumption and minimal to no chemical usage. The successful implementation of this hybrid system in Tanzania exemplifies the potential of combining advanced membrane technologies to achieve efficient and sustainable water treatment solutions.
