Voltea’s CapDI vs RO at 2,000 ppm TDS

Voltea, the world’s leader in membrane Capacitive Deionization (CapDI©), has performed a detailed technical analysis supported by field data from various installation sites that compares CapDI technology to that of Reverse Osmosis (RO), now at 2,000 ppm TDS. In the desalination/water purification technology field, CapDI has often competed with RO in all aspects of the business, from capital and operating expenses (including energy consumption and consumables costs), to operational efficiency and water recovery rates. Voltea’s CapDI technology costs have now reached parity with that of RO, and this document details all aforementioned aspects of measure with CapDI consistently at the advantage. We recently released this data at a 500 ppm TDS level, and due to client feedback are able to provide the same data at this higher salinity level.
