Voltea, the world’s leader in Membrane-Capacitive Deionization (CapDI©), for salt-free and chemical-free water softening and desalination, has created an infographic specific to the deionization industry that compares CapDI with both Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Electrodialysis Reversal (ED(R)).
In this infographic, we explain how CapDI differs physically, mechanically, and by the features it offers. Our advanced design team has built graphics that show the external and internal features of CapDI, RO, and ED(R) vessels with labels on the flow process to help consumers better understand how CapDI works. We have also included a chart that compares the features that we believe are the most important differentiators of CapDI.
We hope this infographic will be a helpful resource explaining how CapDI differs from other traditional deionization technologies.

Voltea, the world’s leader in membrane-Capacitive Deionization (CapDI©), for salt-free and chemical-free water softening and desalination, announced today the addition of Jennifer Smith, Texas-based Sales Manager, effective December 1, 2016. Jennifer joins Voltea’s Global Sales team, reporting to Carlos Camero, Sr. VP of Global Sales.
Voltea’s Global Sales team now has representatives in Europe and Mexico, along with both the East and West Coasts of the U.S., and now Texas, also supporting the Mid-West. Recently, Voltea’s push into the U.S. market and the addition of the new automated robotic production facility in Dallas, TX has led to growth in our sales and service teams to accommodate this expansion.
“Voltea is experiencing rapid growth, which makes it a very exciting time for the firm! The energy of the team is contagious, and I am eager to support the sales efforts with the expansion in the U.S.,” noted Smith.
Voltea’s Carlos Camero added, “Broad commercial adoption of Voltea’s CapDI technology for salt and chemical-free water softening, wastewater reuse and recycling, as well as an alternative to traditional brackish water desalination, continues to expand. The North American market in particular affords great growth opportunities and we are excited to have Jennifer join our growing, Global Sales team.”
Jennifer joins the team after 9 years of experience in the environmental services sector, where she lead the business development, marketing, and sales strategies for a firm, nationwide. During her tenure, she also obtained the Registered Environmental Manager (REM) accreditation in order to better understand and assist with operational tasks. She is passionate about the environment and enjoys meeting with people to help them determine the best solution for their needs. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.

Voltea, the world’s leader in membrane-Capacitive Deionization (CapDI©), for salt-free and chemical-free water softening and desalination, announced today the addition of Richard Bastar IV, West Coast U.S. Sales Manager, effective November 28, 2016. Richard joins Voltea’s global sales team, reporting to Carlos Camero, Sr. VP of Global Sales.
Due to Voltea’s rapidly growing installation base in the U.S., and the addition of the automated robotic manufacturing facility in Dallas, TX, our sales and production teams are expanding to accommodate the success.
The West Coast of the U.S. is a pertinent location for water reuse such as CapDI, with stricter guidelines and restrictions being imposed on water usage. Drought and shortages in water supply have mandated critical changes in salt and other minerals being released back into municipal water systems, and CapDI abides by such new regulations.
“I am fired up about joining the strong, dynamic team here at Voltea. The water treatment industry has shown the need for this exciting technology through Voltea’s attractive growth to date, and CapDI offers a fresh new opportunity for the market. Industry leaders in all spaces are constantly looking at ways to reduce their footprint by reusing and recycling their resources. CapDI will have a great impact on the West Coast and I am glad to be part of this journey,” noted Bastar.
Carlos Camero notes, ”Our Sales team welcomes Richard to lead and manage business opportunities for Voltea in the West Coast of North America. Richard is a great addition to our team bringing years of experience in chemicals/water treatment sales for a variety of applications in heavy industry, power and chemical plants. I’m confident that Richard’s skills and relentless commitment to succeed will make an immediate contribution to our bottom line and aggressive sales growth.”
Richard comes from a water treatment background, spending several years in power generation, primary metals, and industrial manufacturing facilities. He brings a wide variety of industry knowledge to the team from his career as an engineer, as well as serving eight years as an Army Officer in the Infantry and Logistics Corps for the National Guard. Richard earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and attended Marion Military Institute.
