Two new products spark dramatic increase in orders for Voltea’s CapDI!
Voltea, the global leader in Membrane Capacitive Deionization (CapDI©) water purification technology, has moved into a larger U.S. headquarters location as its global orders have increased by a remarkable 300 percent over the last 12 months.
The new office, manufacturing plant and training center reflect the rapid growth of the company, including the release of two groundbreaking new products in the last year.
“We’re even further along than we had hoped to be when we opened our U.S. headquarters just two years ago, which speaks volumes about our industrious team and the disruptive technology we’ve developed,” said Voltea CEO Bryan Brister. “Expanding our Dallas facility helps us continue innovating at a pace that is extraordinary in the water industry.”
The increase in orders was sparked primarily by two new water purification products that are unlike any others in the industry: point-of-use system DiUse®, which is popular with restaurants and coffee shops, and point-of-entry system, DiEntry®, which is designed for residential use. Like Voltea’s other products, they allow for tunable water purification at a lower economic cost and reduced environmental impact than traditional desalination technologies.
An important part of the Dallas expansion is a training area that will house systems from each of Voltea’s three main product lines; DiUse, DiEntry and the Industrial Series. The company is gearing this area toward distributors, resellers and system integrators, giving them the opportunity to learn about the design and performance of Voltea’s CapDI technology first-hand.
Voltea, which has a European office in the Netherlands, has seen increased sales in the U.S. as well as Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Investors in the company include Unilever Ventures, Anterra Capital, Rabobank, ETF, IDO and Detlef Taprogge.
Voltea is also hiring for several engineering and IT-related positions, which will bring the U.S. headquarters to more than 30 employees. The expanded Dallas office is located at 1920 Hutton Court, STE 300, Farmers Branch, TX 75234. To apply for an open position on Voltea’s growing team in the Dallas area.

Learn how CapDI reduced work load while increasing water recovery rate
High water consumption is the norm in the automotive industry, with plants producing millions of gallons of waste water a year.
One Ohio automotive plant was faced with an extremely low water recovery rate, which raised environmental concerns and caused labor and treatment costs to skyrocket.
Traditional water treatment methods were not only labor-intensive, but adding to overall expenses. The plant needed a truly disruptive water treatment solution, and fast.
It only took three months for the plant to see results due to the implementation of an innovative, tunable water treatment technology. The system allowed water to be recycled back to the pretreatment process, saving more than 1 million gallons of water and $100,000 in labor savings.

ROI: $96,000 in about eight months
Inconsistent salinity levels hurt crop yield because what can be tolerated by one crop – such as a collection of mature plants – might be deadly for seedlings.
For example, a tomato and pepper grower in Puebla, Mexico faced this problem and had to buy seedlings from a third party that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
It was time for the grower to find a new, disruptive water treatment solution.
Within just eight months of implementing a revolutionary, tunable water treatment technology, the grower was able to produce its seedlings in-house, saving $96,000 and prompting an 85 percent water recovery rate.
